wat u've said is definitely not crap :) i can see where u're coming from. the current us administration has really fucked things up, not only within their own country, but also in the eyes of the world. when bush got re-elected 4 years ago, i was also wondering wat on earth the americans were thinking. but this time round, i feel hopeful tat things might be different, maybe even improve.

tho yes, it's also a very realistic concern, tat obama may get killed - being who and wat he is, but i will pray tat it doesn't happen.
