After working like a dog for the past couple of weeks, I have finally, gloriously succumbed to the flu bug, which has laid me low for the past 2 days. (I can almost hear my seniors berating me for being sick and taking leave in that hypocritical, condescending, fake-sincere way of theirs, but f**k them!) however, after diligent consumption of various medications, both Chinese and western – and trust me, there is nothing viler than that concoction masquerading as Chinese herbal tea – I have managed to banish my sore throat to a place far away from me. I can’t recall the last time I’ve been so silent :p and it always feels so strangely isolating when one is sick and home alone. Disorienting, remote, and like the world is passing u by. Now, if my sniffles will jus go away, I shall be able to face the battlefield of work on Monday >_<

In other news, my flat was broken into this past wed when I was at work. Thankfully, both me and my landlady dun keep valuables at home, so nothing much was taken. Tho it was slightly surreal to come home and see the rooms semi-ransacked, the drawers open and things askew. The greatest blessing was that I still have my laptop, which is now attached to a security lock. I guess it was a little unsettling in a way – one always believes that it’s a safe country, that any crime that occurs should be far away. It’s never something that could happen to u.
