in other news, i have had restrictions placed on my internet access AGAIN by the ridiculous uni that i currently attend. the system is bloody ridiculous. they profess to provide free internet access, but we can't download anything, we can't access any games, and we can't even surf certain websites regularly either, we can't skype or have webcam conversations. all this cuz it would place an unreasonable burden of maintaining the free internet.

it is RIDICULOUS - i LIVE on-campus, this is like my HOME. if i can't entertain myself online in my own home, where else am i supposed to do it? some internet cafe downtown? i can understand if they slammed me for unnecessary use at the uni proper, like the library or something, but how else am i going to use the internet if i'm at home???

it's a bloody false democracy - they give u this false illusion of freedom, but tat's all it is, false. here, have ur free internet - but dun do anything with it. it's like a certain country that i noe of, where they say, here, u can vote, heck, u MUST vote, but only vote for THIS political party. fuckers, everyone of them.

(plus wat's with that line, u can't have ur cake and eat it?? i've never understood that, wat's the POINT of having food and NOT eating it? it defeats the entire purpose of food in the 1st place! like wat are u gonna do, let it sit there and get mouldy????)

on the other hand, they're probably planning to squeeze more $$ out of me. it's so disillusioning that education has fallen so far into the depths of commercialism and capitalism.
