the recent weather has been a reflection of my past 2 days. yesterdae was a comedy of errors while i tried to juggle getting to my IELTS speaking test, getting a cashier's order from the bank for my us visa application, and actually making it in time for said visa application appointment. in the space of 2 hours, i trudged up and down the tanglin stretch three times. ironically, the smoothest part of the process was the actual application once i got inside the fortress of a us embassy. still, unless a miracle happens, this will prob be my 1st and last trip to america. the process of trying to go there is beyond hassle. i have ZERO inclination to go there, and even less than zero desire to stay or explore there further. and if i actually do set foot on american soil a second time this lifetime, it will be, as i said, some kind of miracle. for my fren(s) who have migrated there, well, u can always come back and visit :p
my mom tells me to be optimistic. i prefer to think the worst, so tat if it turns out slightly better, at least i'll be pleasantly surprised.
