look what i've done again...

this last visit home for the weekend has made me end up wondering whether it would be better if I go back less often. Once again, there has been an altercation with the mother, plus another lecture from my dad cuz he felt he had to stand with her as ‘parents’. I have been labelled as ‘disrespectful’, which is quite sad coming from my dad cuz I feel I have never been disrespectful to him. As for her, she’s lost my respect a long time ago.

Respect should be a 2-way thing, at least that’s what I think. it’s the sorta thing that has to be earned, and maintained. Wat does it say abt this particular mother-daughter relationship when I honestly believe that without that blood connection, we prob dun have much else?

For my dad’s sake, I will remain civil. If only I can figure out a way to keep my mouth shut and my temper reined in… so I’ve been thinking, maybe it’s better if I went home less often.

i have however, managed to piss off my parents by flatly procrasinating from getting a couple of things they wanted me to do.

school might be off. they've taken to suggesting a local course. oh, well.
