and incredibly, for me, at least, it actually IS – the greatest story ever told. There’re many reasons why one ought to watch ‘troy’ – the most obvious of which is brad pitt’s fantastic drool-tastic body :p – but seriously, it’s a classic, and imho, the filmmakers did manage to do justice to homer’s epic poem.

various aspects of the film that impressed/amused/got me worked up included…

ten random things that only made it by virtue of their popping into my head first )

there’re definitely other things which i’ve left out – i walked out of the theatre brimming with thoughts and ideas. i love movies that can induce that in me. i was, unfortunately for the ppl near me, quite opinionated throughout the movie, ie. i kept talking – a lot :p i din’t go in with overly high expectations, and prob that’s why it impressed me all the more. i loved it – filled with epic battles and tragic characters, woven through with philosophical lessons that have echoed down through time. it’s immortal, the greatest story ever told.
