all the sfx can't detract from the fact that it's a sad story, and that's as it should be - revenge of the sith is a tragedy, and very depressing. that said, it's still the best out of the star wars prequel trilogy. i'm not a die hard star wars fan, so there would prob have been many things i've missed out, tho it turns out there are ppl are out there who haven't watched the original trilogy *oh my goodness*!

things that were rather lame: the stilted dialogue and the dying of a broken heart. maybe there's more, but i'm prepared to be lenient :p

things that i liked, other than ewan mcgregor/obi-wan kenobi (which is SO a given ^_~): the lightsabers, esp mace windu's purple one; padme's outfits, tho not the hair; chewbacca!; yoda force-whammying ppl and objects; anakin turning over to the dark side for love; 'the death of liberty with thunderous applause'; the spectacular fight scenes; r2d2 & c3po!; obi-wan's pain over losing anakin; qui-gon returning from the force to continue training obi-wan - can someone say major plot bunny for slash fans everywhere? omfg, true love rules! okie, so i'm a slash fan, an incorrigible one at that, and i can see slashy references in ANYTHING :p

but the one image that will stay with me for a long, long time is when obi-wan was walking away, his cloak billowing behind him, reaching back, and with this deft movement, drawing the hood over his head. i don't noe why this image ends up being the strongest one for me in the entire movie, but it's always the little things, i guess.
