YEAH!!! student visa has been granted!!! everything completed within one week!!! (alright, stop with the exclamation marks already :p) none of the visa application horror stories have come to pass.

now to pray that i get a place in the student hostel...

have no meals provided- we buy our own stuff and make our own food in the kitchen. we have an oven and stove, but if you want a microwave, you have to rent one!

ah, so it's pretty standard then. heh, but i can't survive without a microwave. i could TOTALLY get by without an oven or a stove tho. oh, the irony :p aniwae, will not mull over it too much. the bridge will straighten when i hit it. *and that was a completely disastrous translation of the idiom* mwahaha!!!

I've got by without the microwave for an entire semester... we were supposed to rent one, but somehow it never worked out...

about 111 a week... it's not that cheap, but the rooms are rather big and we get our own washing machine and dryer, plus all amententies covered

i'll see how it goes. now the only horror is that i dun get along with my flatmates :0 my rent is $90 per week, but i will have to use the coin laundry. guess it all evens out.

couldn't get a confirmed seat via singapore on the day i wanna leave (16th), so my mum will be booking me on MAS. i'll be leaving from jb, which when one comes to think bt it, is more convenient since i will have moved back to jb by then.

curtin's dorms are definately much cheaper- my housemate's sister was in curtin (just went back to the states) but she said our rooms were much bigger. but I think it really does even out in the end...

I haven't booked a ticket yet! *horror of horrors* my procrasinating self will kill me... are you on a return ticket or a one way?
