ununoriginalmy mom's currently in perth. partly to visit me, but mainly to travel with her sis and fam while they're here on hols, as she got fed up with waiting for my dad - the obstinate chinaman - to accompany her on a trip to a western civilisation.
todae we jus got news that her sis' husband MIXED UP THE FLIGHT DATES, and as such they are not in perth! will not be in perth cuz there's a waiting list with no available flights. i mean, wat is this, a movie?? i can't believe that a GROWN MAN with RESPONSIBILITIES can mix up something like tat, and wat's worse, the rest of his family never bothered to double-check and see if he was wrong!
so now, my mom's stuck by herself in perth, cuz i can't accompany her til the weekend as well due to classes and assignments. hopefully she will be able to entertain herself till then - it's jus 3 days aniwae. it does seem a little weird tho - cuz i've never been close to her, and back home, we more or less go about our own lives, immersed in our own activities. and now circumstances have sorta thrown us together. it will be strange, to be spending a whole day with her. it's something we haven't done for like... heh, is it really bad that i can't remember?
well, we'll see - i'm not holding out hopes that this will be a great mother-daughter bonding experience, but with luck, there will be no spats or unpleasantness. it will be a nice, friendly outing.
