the only way to be violent

underworld: evolution is SO immensely SATISFYING.  it's like watching one's fav hack-and-slash game come to life!  there are points when selene (aka kate beckinsale) is pumping bullets into the uber-vamp or the giant werewolf, when i think, "now at this point, the boss monster's life bar is prob still green... ok, now it's yellow..."  this is one movie for serious stress relief if there ever was once - the violence was TOTALLY and unabashedly gratuitous, which is why it was so completely enjoyable.

every head ripped off; every claw plunged into metal; every explosion of flesh, blood and guts is milked to the max.  

i'd watch the show time and again, jus to imagine senior management's heads caving in with each solid meaty thwack.
